Another Step Taken To Bring The Raiders To Las Vegas

Another step was taken in bringing the #Raiders to Las #Vegas. Members of the Raiders, #RaiderNation alumni and local leaders including #ClarkCounty Chairman Marilyn Kirkpatrick and Vice-Chairman Lawrence Weekly came together for the groundbreaking of the team's new headquarter and practice facility. It will be located in Henderson, Nevada near the Henderson Executive Airport, about 12 miles from the #LasVegas Strip and the 65,000 seat #Stadium where the Raiders will play their home games starting in 2020.

When finished, the state-of-the-art facility will rival anything any team in the NFL has right now. The 383,000 square foot building will have indoor fields, team offices and training facilities for players. Outside will have three more fields, a pool and stands for fans to watch team practices.

In launching construction, Raiders President Marc Badain thanked Clark County for their help in making the project a reality. The team is committing $75 million to the first phase of the project. On top of that are the construction jobs being created and some 250 permanent jobs once the facility opens in spring of 2020.
